Reality TV? WTF(lip)

by KurtyKool
I have often wondered about why we are so obsessed with reality tv.

Why do we enjoy watching people suffer with the foul tastes of Ciccada shells or viewing the wrinkles and blubber of over weight individuals? It makes no sense that we should watch other people’s difficulties, especially when we have our own problems to deal with.

If we spent more time trying to focus on our own life and problems wouldn’t we have a more beautiful world, with beautiful people. I have missed, for so long, people who truly love each other. I don’t mean anything to do with romance, love is a verb. Being a Christian, I yearn for a day in which we fear no evil and I can do no wrong.

So next time you flick over to “Who’s the Greatest Belly Scratcher” or “Celbrity Fatties”… Think about what you can do to make a difference in the world around you.

I wrote 7 songs

More on all these later…

Steve Jobs: 20 Life Lessons -

Steve Jobs: 20 Life Lessons
My feelings about Steve Jobs have always been a little mixed. I long admired his entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen and was in sheer awe of his natural instincts for what appeals to consumers. On the other hand I bristled at what I saw as his — and by extension Apple’s — occasionally …

Teen Invents Cancer Treatment

By Roy

California teen Angela Zhang, 17, won the top individual honors at a United States high- school science competition for inventing a nanoparticle which delivers cancer drugs directly to tumour cells -  without affecting the cells’ surrounding healthy tissue.

The particle, which she describes as the ” Swiss Army Knife of cancer treatments “, is able to release a drug when activated by a laser. It also allows researchers to monitor the effects of the treatment in real time using current imaging techniques, although it may be decades before it can be used in humans.

The teen, whose research was inspired by her grandfather’s death from lung cancer, was given a US$100,000 scholarship at the annual Siemens Competition In Math, Science & Technology.
